|Freshness, Storage & Tasting:|
|Q:||How long will my Recchiuti Confections stay fresh?|
|A:||By the time your confections arrive to you or are purchased at our Ferry Building or Little Nib stores, they are at their peak freshness. Our products are best if consumed immediately as they do not include preservatives, artificial flavors or compounds.
If you will not be consuming them right away, please use the storage guidelines below for unopened confections.
For best results, store confections at or just below room temperature in an odor-free environment. Refrigeration is not recommended. Storage outside these parameters will alter the guidelines below.
1 week: Whoopie Cakes, Vanilla Bean Marshmallows, S'mores Bites and S'mores Kits.
2 weeks: Pates de Fruits, Fudge Brownies, and all Truffles.
3 weeks: Malted Milk Chocolate Sauce (Limited Edition Summer Special).
2 months: Asphalt Jungle Mix, Burnt Caramel Almonds, Burnt Caramel Hazelnuts, Candied Orange Peel, Cherries Two Ways, Key Lime Apples, Key Lime Pears (seasonal item), Malted Revolutions, Mendiants (seasonal item) Peanut Butter Pearls (seasonal item), Peanut Butter Pucks, and Peppermint Thins.
3 months: Caramels (Fleur de Sel, Caramels to the Third Power).
10 months: Dark Hot Chocolate.
Our bars (Dark Milk, Semisweet, Bittersweet, Feve, Hazelnut [seasonal], Almond, Orchard, and Sesame Nougatine) and sauces (Extra-Bitter Chocolate, Burnt Caramel) have "Enjoy By" dates located on the packaging.

*IMPORTANT NOTE: The Vanilla Bean Marshmallows in the S'mores Kit are meringue-like and caramelize very quickly. To prevent burning, please watch the marshmallows closely, refrain from placing too close to the heat source if broiling.

Our goal at Recchiuti Confections is to completely satisfy all customers. We stand behind everything we make and guarantee that our chocolates leave our facility in peak condition. Due to the perishable nature of our product, we are unable to provide refunds or exchanges for items that are not damaged or defective. (For non-perishable items, we will provide refunds or exchanges for all items.) If, for some reason, you receive a damaged or defective item, please contact us immediately.
For items purchased online: We are happy to send you replacement items or to refund the original purchase price (excluding shipping). We cannot be held responsible for the following: delays caused by weather, mechanical failure or other acts beyond our control, incorrect or incomplete addresses input by the purchaser on the original web order.
