All right, I confess. Guilt finally got the better of me and I had to fess up. It was me. I ate most of the Recchiuti chocolates. I did it - and I'm not sorry. Not about that, anyway... What I regret it blaming it on my son when my husband inquired out of the blue "Where's that great chocolate at?" Oops... "Uh, uh," I stuttered, taken off guard. "I don't know," I said, my cheeks flushed, but beginning to warm to my task. "Jack!" I said, sharply, did you eat ALL that chocolate? How could you!" My son rolled his eyes and stomped out of the room shouting "It wasn't me, MOM!"
I should be ashamed, and I am - but not about eating that delicious, decadent, mind-bending chocolate...

Last year, my wife and I visited San Francisco. She had to come out for business, and as my 40th birthday hit in the middle of her trip, I came out with her. While she was in meetings, I did the whole San Fran tourist thing.
I owned the Chocolate Obsession cookbook, and was excited to visit the store. When I got there, I was a little overwhelmed - too many treats to choose from. I finally did pick some things out, and hopped in the car to return to Mountain View where we were staying (close to the Wife's meeting). OK, so I should nibble on something, right? I mean I've wanted to try Recchiuti for so long. It was, of course, amazing. So maybe just one more, right?
San Fran to Mountain View is quite a haul, especially in rush hour traffic. Surely another piece, right?
As you can imagine, NOTHING made it out of that car.
I never told her I found Recchiuti that day. I've ordered Recchiuti since, though, and shared it...
