Small-batch, seasonal confection
Originally developed during Michael Recchiuti's pastry chef days, these thinly sliced Bartlett Pears are soaked in key lime juice before being dried and dipped in custom-blend semisweet chocolate. These paper-thin slices of fruit and fine chocolate are just as delicate as they are delicious and make the perfect light after-dinner treat, teacher's gift, or after school snack. Key Lime Pears are only made in small batches through October - December each year.
I always order the key lime pears in season for gifts and for myself. Being on the opposite coast, I have favorite local Boston chocolate shops, but for Holidays, I go westward to order these, as they are unlike any other chocolate confection :)PJO
A Recchiuti classic! Been buying these for years. Make a great gift too, if you can stop from eating them all yourself!! Sweet and tangy, crispy pear enrobed in decadent dark chocolate. What’s not to like!!
