Blueberry, Morello Cherry, Passion Fruit and Pear Lime French-style fruit gelée. These traditional confections date back to 10th century France and the days before refrigeration. Fresh fruit was preserved with sugar and made into jelly, some firm enough to cut into shapes. These pâtes de fruits (PAT-de-FWEE) became a bite-sized way to enjoy fresh fruit year-round and today the tradition lives on at Recchiuti.

Pâtes des Fruits
They are so tasty because one can actually taste the berries in one & the orange melange I'm the other. Because there is a sugar crust, I thought they would be rather sweet, not so. Just right.

Great delivery and care of product
I sent these as part of a gift package to a family member for her birthday. She made it a point to let me know that everything was nicely packaged in a cool container to keep the chocolates from melting. She said the Pates de Fruits were delicious as were the smores. Thank you for the care you put into sending off this package and the products in it.
