Retail Store Manager, Ferry Building, San Francisco

Position Overview:
The Retail Store Manager is responsible for managing the Recchiuti Confections store at the Ferry Building Marketplace. This includes but is not limited to ensuring that the highest level of customer service is provided, ensuring that sales goals are met or exceeded, being a strong leader and role model to the retail staff, and providing long-term planning and direction for the retail store. This role manages 5 retail staff associates, reports directly to owner Jacky Recchiuti, and works cross-functionally with our Third Street office Departments including Sales & Marketing, Production, Operations, Finance & Accounting, and Customer Service.

Primary Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, manage and actively lead the day-to-day retail store operations of the company.
Lead, motivate, mentor and develop the retail store team in delivering outstanding customer service and achieving sales goals.
Communicate company goals and strategies clearly and openly, setting concise expectations.
Conduct motivational sales and service-oriented staff meetings.
Manage the hiring, orientation, training, and staff scheduling of retail store associates.
Maintain store instruction manuals and standards, including cleanliness, organization, and visual merchandising including digital screens and signage.
Ensure staff compliance with all store procedures & policies including health and safety protocols. Develop, roll-out and document new procedures as needed.
Manage and monitor store inventory and ordering of replenishment product.
Utilize sales data and customer feedback to make decisions and drive sales.
Monitor store performance and develop strategies for improvement.
Oversee cash handling and establish appropriate security measures.
Validate and approve employee timecards.
Perform 90-day and annual performance reviews, including handling disciplinary actions, if necessary.

Job Qualifications:
2+ years of retail store management experience with a premium and customer service-oriented
Revenue driven, financial literacy a must.
Strong sales skills.
Ability to interface and communicate effectively.
Strong attention to detail while keeping in mind the big picture – able to prioritize.
Well organized, deadline oriented, flexible, and effective with multiple tasks.
Strong management and leadership skills.
High degree of accountability with excellent communication, listening and interpersonal skills.
Strong inventory control skills.
Some retail marketing experience.
Experience working in a small, entrepreneurial, artisan food company preferred.
Computer proficient (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Experience with Shopify POS systems (or equivalent) a plus.
Fluent in English, ability to speak other languages a plus.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Must be able to stand on one’s feet for a complete 8-hour shift.
Must be able to lift 40 pounds. 

Schedule & Compensation:
Schedule will likely include at least one weekend day on a regular basis; longer hours and flexibility schedule required as needed – particularly during peak seasons.
Full-time role with competitive salary commensurate with skills and experience ($65K/yr - $75K/yr).

Retail Service Associate, Ferry Building, San Francisco
Part-time roles available. 

Position Overview:
A key objective for the Retail Service is maintaining the day-to-day operations of the Ferry Building Marketplace retail shop in San Francisco, with a focus on servicing in-person shoppers, coordinating direct pre-order pick-up orders. Assist in achieving sales goals and maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Sales & Service
Participate in achieving or exceeding sales goals; daily, monthly, annual targets.
Deliver the highest levels of customer service, building relationships with customers, ensuring customer follow-up, and promoting customer retention.
Product Knowledge – ability to explain the various products to in–store customers.
Assist customers with in-store shopping and phone inquiries.
Maintaining a professional decorum at all times.
Process all orders through Recchiuti Confections in-store POS system orders.

Store Tasks
Respond to company emails quickly and efficiently. Answer direct phone line for order taking.
Assist in the Inventory process bi-weekly.
Communicate clearly with customers, co-workers,3rd Street sales contacts, and Recchiuti management.
Ensure processing pick-up orders are accurately documented and on time.

Store Operations
Assist in store product up-stock and merchandising throughout the day.
Maintaining a clean and organized store environment
Daily product assembly of internal Recchiuti and Marketplace pre-orders and in-person orders.
Opening and closing procedures.
Follow health and safety guidelines.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to interface and communicate effectively.
Well organized, deadline oriented, flexible, and effective with multiple tasks, able to prioritize.
Experience and cashiering with Shopify, POS or equivalent systems.
Strong retail experience customer-focused environment.
Strong basic computer skills – experience with MS Office a must
Well groomed and the ability to be a brand ambassador for Recchiuti.
Be computer proficient (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Fluent in English. Ability to speak other languages a plus.

This position requires availability Wednesday, Saturday & Sunday shifts. Some weekends required. This is an in-store position.
